The Project
Electrician landing page design was the focus of this project for CRR Electrical Installations, an electrical contractor serving homeowners in Northampton and the wider Northamptonshire area.
The objective was to create a focused WordPress landing page specifically for homeowners considering a consumer unit or fuse box upgrade.
Rather than sending visitors to a general electrical-services page, the landing page provides information directly related to electrical safety, outdated fuse boards, consumer unit replacement, inspections, certification and the next steps required to request professional help.
The page was structured around local search relevance, homeowner trust and appointment generation.
The Challenge
Consumer unit upgrades are a technical electrical service, and many homeowners may not know whether their existing fuse board actually needs replacing.
Some visitors may be dealing with frequent tripping, outdated rewireable fuses, missing RCD protection or recommendations made after an electrical inspection.
The page therefore needed to explain common warning signs in simple language while encouraging customers to request a professional inspection rather than trying to diagnose electrical problems themselves.
Trust was another important consideration. Electrical work affects property safety, so qualifications, certification and regulatory compliance needed to be clearly communicated.
What We Built
We developed a focused WordPress landing page built around consumer unit upgrade search intent.
The hero section immediately communicates the service, Northamptonshire relevance and the benefit of upgrading an outdated fuse box to a safer modern consumer unit.
A prominent appointment form allows prospective customers to submit their name, email, address or postcode, phone number, required service and additional project information.
The landing page also explains that an inspection is the first stage before a consumer unit upgrade or other electrical safety work.
Clear telephone CTAs were positioned throughout the page to support visitors who prefer speaking directly with an electrician.
Consumer Unit Upgrade Content
The page explains several reasons why a homeowner may need a consumer unit upgrade, including:
- An old rewireable fuse board
- No RCD protection
- Frequent electrical tripping or power loss
- Recommendations following an EICR
- Renovation or extension work
- EV charger installation requirements
These scenarios are currently presented directly on the live landing page.
The content helps visitors connect their own electrical problem with the service before requesting an inspection.
Electrician Landing Page Design & Conversion
The electrician landing page design was structured around a straightforward customer journey:
Recognise electrical problem → Understand upgrade → Verify electrician credibility → Book inspection → Receive quote
The appointment form appears in key areas of the page so visitors do not need to return to the top after reading the service information.
Click-to-call CTAs also create a faster conversion path for mobile visitors.
The page provides information about testing, certification and Building Regulations notification, helping address common concerns before a homeowner contacts the company.
Trust & Credibility
Electrical landing pages need strong professional trust signals.
The page identifies CRR Electrical as a NAPIT-approved electrician and displays registration number 17156803. It also states that appropriate electrical certification is supplied after installation and testing.
Customer testimonials, project examples and qualification imagery provide additional reassurance.
The page also explains that CRR Electrical works across residential, commercial and industrial electrical projects.
Northampton Local SEO Foundation
Local relevance was incorporated throughout the landing page.
The service is specifically positioned around consumer unit upgrades in Northampton and Northamptonshire rather than using only generic nationwide electrician terminology.
This gives the page a stronger foundation for searches related to:
Consumer unit upgrades Northampton
Fuse box upgrades Northampton
Electrician Northampton
Consumer unit replacement Northamptonshire
The WordPress structure also provides room for supporting electrical landing pages targeting EICRs, rewires, fault finding and EV charger installation. These service categories are currently present across the CRR Electrical site.
FAQs & Search Intent
A dedicated FAQ section answers important conversion and search-intent questions, including:
How much does a consumer unit upgrade cost?
How long does installation take?
Will certification be provided?
Is Building Control notification included?
Is an upgraded consumer unit required for an EV charger?
Is CRR Electrical NAPIT approved?
These FAQs help potential customers get practical answers while also increasing the topical depth of the landing page.
The Result
CRR Electrical received a focused local-service landing page designed around one commercially valuable service rather than a broad electrical-services message.
The completed page creates a clear customer journey:
Identify outdated fuse box → Understand safety benefits → Review credentials → Book inspection → Request upgrade
The finished WordPress landing page combines local Northampton targeting, service-specific information, professional trust signals, appointment lead capture and conversion-focused calls to action.
It also creates a scalable foundation for future electrical-service landing pages and continued local SEO growth.
